Short answer: decide whether you're selling copies (a template or product) or the whole app (code, domain and users), prepare a clean handover, and list where buyers can trust what they're getting.
Copies or the whole app?
- Copies — you keep the app and sell the code, a template or access, again and again. List it as a product.
- The whole app — you transfer code, domain, accounts and any users. That's an acquisition; on GreenGo it goes through the Flip Desk.
What buyers check first
- Does it work? A live demo or a short video.
- Is it safe? A recent security check. AI-built apps are known to ship with exposed keys or open database rules, so buyers look for proof.
- What exactly do I get? Files, stack, license, setup steps and any services they must pay for.
Get it ready
- Remove secrets from the code and move them to environment variables.
- Write a README with setup steps and the services it needs (for example Supabase, Stripe, an AI API).
- Choose a license and state it on the listing.
- Run the free security header check and fix what you can.
Pricing
Price by the time it saves the buyer, not by the hours you spent. Look at similar listings, start where you're comfortable, and change the price after your first sales.
Where to sell
Marketplaces with their own buyers charge more than payment-only tools, but they bring traffic and trust. On GreenGo, listing is free, you pay 8% per sale (4% on Pro), buyers pay no extra fees, and the first 100 sellers pay a half-price 4% for 6 months. See pricing for a comparison.
Handover
For copies, delivery is automatic after payment. For a whole app, follow a written checklist: repository transfer, domain, hosting, database, third-party accounts, then a short support window.
