Key points:
- Joining, training and staying a partner is free.
- You earn only on real purchases by customers you refer — never for recruiting other partners.
- Commission is the rate each seller chooses for its listing, on purchases by your referred accounts for 12 months, paid monthly by GreenGo through Stripe.
- Always disclose that you earn a commission. You earn only when someone you refer buys; many partners earn little or nothing, and earnings depend on your own work and on sellers' rates.
1. The parties and the program
These terms are a written agreement between you ("Partner") and GreenGo Partners LLC, 1515 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224 ("GreenGo"). They cover two programs:
- City Partners — approved partners in an open city who introduce local businesses to listings on GreenGo, using a demo kit, partner link and client dashboard.
- Affiliates — anyone with a GreenGo account who shares listing links online.
You accept these terms by checking the box when you apply or create a partner link. City Partner status requires approval and finishing GreenGo's free partner course.
2. What you do
You promote GreenGo listings to prospective buyers using your partner link or code, honestly and in line with these terms. You decide how, when and where you work, use your own tools, and may run your own business, including charging your own clients for set-up or consulting services under your own contracts.
3. How you earn
- Referred account. A buyer becomes your referred account when they first create a GreenGo account or make a purchase through your link or code within 30 days of clicking it (last click wins), or when you register them as a client in your dashboard and they confirm.
- Commission. For 12 months after an account becomes your referred account, you earn a commission on each purchase that account makes, at the partner rate the seller chose for that listing, applied to the item price excluding sales tax. Listings with a 0% rate earn nothing. The rate shown on the listing when the purchase is made applies. Refunded or charged-back amounts earn nothing.
- Who pays it. GreenGo owes and pays your commission. Sellers pay GreenGo a matching referral fee under the Seller Agreement. You have no payment claim against a seller, and a seller has none against you.
- Your own fees. Fees you charge your own clients for your services are yours and are not part of the GreenGo program.
- No recruiting rewards. You earn nothing for signing up other partners, and you may not charge anyone to become a partner.
4. When and how you are paid
- Commissions become payable after the sale's protection window ends and any claim or dispute on it is resolved without a full refund.
- GreenGo pays payable commissions monthly through Stripe Connect by the 15th day of the following month, once your balance reaches US$50. A smaller balance rolls over and is paid at least once a year.
- Commissions on sales later refunded or charged back are reversed and deducted from future commissions.
- You must complete Stripe onboarding and provide a Form W-9 or W-8. GreenGo issues tax forms as the law requires. You are responsible for your own taxes.
- If you think a commission is missing, tell us within 60 days of the sale; we will review it and answer within 15 business days.
5. Disclosure and honest promotion
- Always disclose. Tell people clearly, next to the recommendation, that you earn a commission, for example "I earn a commission if you buy through this link" or "#ad". This is required by the FTC Endorsement Guides.
- Only true claims. Say only what the listing says. Do not call a product "certified", "secure", "guaranteed" or "approved by GreenGo". You may say a listing is "Green Light checked" with the date shown on the listing.
- No earnings promises. Do not tell anyone how much they will earn as a partner or from a product. GreenGo will not state partner earnings except typical results drawn from its own records, with the basis shown.
- You are not GreenGo. Do not present yourself as a GreenGo employee or representative, sign anything for GreenGo or make promises on its behalf. You may say "GreenGo City Partner".
6. What is not allowed
- Spam, including email without the consent and opt-out that CAN-SPAM requires, and calls or texts without the consent the TCPA requires.
- Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden links, adware or fake traffic.
- Self-referrals, referring accounts you or your business control, or splitting purchases to raise commissions.
- Bidding on "GreenGo" or "GreenGo Partners" as search ads, or registering domains or social handles that include them.
- Posting coupons or discounts GreenGo did not give you.
- Anything that breaks our Acceptable Use, Prohibited Listings and Reviews Policy.
Commissions earned through a breach may be withheld or reversed, and we may end your participation.
6A. Responsibility for your promotion
GreenGo may review your promotions and ask you to change or remove any that break Section 5 or 6, and you will do so within 2 business days. If a third party or a regulator brings a claim against GreenGo because your promotions, messages or calls broke Section 5 or 6, you will defend and indemnify GreenGo against that claim and its reasonable costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, using the process in Section 14 of the Terms of Service. This does not cover claims caused by materials GreenGo gave you that you used as provided.
7. Brand use
While you are a partner, GreenGo gives you a limited, revocable license to use the GreenGo name, logo and the materials in your demo kit, as provided and only to promote listings. Stop using them when you leave the program.
8. Independent contractor
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent or franchisee of GreenGo. You are responsible for your expenses, insurance, licenses and taxes. Nothing here gives you a territory or exclusivity, and GreenGo may approve other partners in your city.
9. Ending participation
Either side can end participation anytime with notice through the dashboard or by email. Commissions for purchases made before the end date are paid on the normal schedule, unless they came from a breach of these terms.
10. Changes
We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing commission rates, the referral period or payment terms. Changes do not affect commissions on purchases made before they take effect.
11. Other terms
The Terms of Service apply, including Section 18 (disputes) with the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules and the fee support for small business users in Section 18.4. Each party's liability under these terms is limited to the commissions paid or payable to you in the 12 months before the claim, except for fraud, willful misconduct, your obligations under Section 6A, or amounts GreenGo owes you.
